Dog-Friendly Restaurants in Seattle, Washington

There is no shortage of dog-friendly restaurants in Seattle, but these are a few of our favorites we visited during our recent trip. Our experience in Seattle has been that nearly all restaurants with patio space will allow well-behaved pups, so there really are tons of options!

  • LOCAL Public Eatery - this may be the first restaurant I have been to where dogs are actually allowed inside, as well as outside on the nice patio. Keep this in mind if you are visiting on a rainy day! They had a large food menu, as well as many great beer and drink options.

  • Portage Bay Cafe - our family goes here for breakfast/brunch every time we are in Seattle. Where we stay is right by the South Lake Union location. The berry bar is my husband’s personal fav! On the weekends it gets busy, so I would recommend a reservation.

  • Bar Harbor - when lobster rolls are an option, you can always count me in. They are seriously delicious! They also offer chowder, salads and other options for any non-seafood lovers. And their patio space is awesome!

  • Cactus - another one of our staple dog-friendly restaurants in Seattle. In my opinion, you can’t beat tacos and margaritas! They also have great seasonal dishes.

  • Café Hagen - we pit stopped here for coffee while out walking the dogs in the morning during our recent visit, and ended up coming back every morning. We loved their coffee! They also have a menu of Scandinavian inspired breakfast and lunch food, and the adorable patio is a bonus.

Breweries/Bars

In addition to the plentiful dog-friendly restaurants in Seattle, there are also so many great options for enjoying drinks on the patio or at a brewery with your dog(s). Here are a few places we visited, as well as a few spots on my list for our next trip!

  • Stoup Brewing - they have a few locations, but we visited the Capital Hill location (although parking on the weekend was a bit of a nightmare). Lots of beer options on tap, and daily food trucks in the evening.

  • Fremont Brewing's Urban Beer Garden - known for its great vibes, with a beautiful outdoor space that is perfect for relaxing with a cold one and your pup. They do not have a kitchen, but you are welcome to bring your own food or order from a nearby restaurant. On their website they have a great list of nearby food options.

    • If you or your dog want some exercise afterward, you can also check out nearby Gas Works Park.

  • Ghostfish Brewing Company - perfect for any gluten free friends, both their beers and kitchen are gluten free.

  • Locus Wines - dogs are allowed both inside and outside (weather permitting) at this tasting room in historic pioneer square. They offer several varietals of wines from Washington state.

  • Aluel Cellars - Capitol Hill - wine bar with a cute little patio featuring old-world style wines from some of the top vineyards across Washington state.
